Juvenile Training
Juvenile Training is taking place every Satursday afternoon in Jebel Ali Primary School from 4pm to 5.30pm. The training is conducted by Colin O Malley and Paul McCabe with assitance from a number of players. we have a large number of participants, normally in the range of 20 to 30 kids per session. The session consists of various levels of skills fro mthe basic of catching a ball properly, to drill involving soloing, hand passing and kicking. This is conducted in a spirit of engagements, so the kids of different skills levels can enjoy the session and attan their best. the last 30 minutes normally consist of a game where players of similar skill are matched so that every kid is involved. We want to have a larger number of kids so we can build a league structure so that the kids can have more competitive games.
We are only training with Gaelic football currently, as hurling kit is not readily available but we hope to ass this in some format throughout the season.
The season is open to all who have an interest in getting their kids involved in learning some Gaelice games and having some fun, so please share with your friends. All sport enthusiasts welcome, so please feel free to come along.
It also offers an opportunity for new residents to Dubai to catch up with other parent, as can be evidenced by the lively chats on the sidelines
